According to statistics, the youth unemployment rate in Namibia remained around 38.41% in 2023 compared to the previous year, 2022. Recognising the urgency of this national challenge, the Capricorn Foundation has committed to funding The Capricorn Academy for School Leavers.

During this period, participants will receive training across various banking disciplines, learn from professionals in Windhoek, and subsequently be placed at selected Bank Windhoek branches nationwide. Positions are available at the following Bank Windhoek branches: Aranos, Karasburg, Oranjemund, Luderitz, Opuwo, Oshifo, Katima Mulilo, Mariental, and Ondangwa.
"The Capricorn Academy for School Leavers aims to equip and empower young school leavers with the necessary skills and experiences to build successful careers," said Marlize Horn, Executive Officer of the Capricorn Foundation. "Through this initiative, we hope to contribute to reducing youth unemployment and fostering economic empowerment among Namibia's youth."
